using COM in a plugin

Hello!

I've developed a Import-Plugin for Photoshop CS %26amp; CS2 and the same 8ba-file worked for both. I'm using COM-Automation inside to open a document from harddisk.

When i tried it with Photoshop CS3 it seems to work, but the COM-Calls fail due to error 0x8001010A (The message filter indicated that the application is busy).

I figured out that is impossible to perform COM calls while a plugin is active. This is only with CS3. Prior versions of Photoshop had no problem with it.

Are there any solutions to perform such calls?
